Hi! If we haven’t met yet, I’m Sam—Founder and Head Nutritionist at Holistic PCOS.

When I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 14, I was immediately put on the pill. After 10 years, I just had a hunch—I wanted to see what my body was like naturally. So I went off without any guidance and my PCOS symptoms flared up with a vengeance.

When I went to see an endocrinologist for help, I asked him how to fix my PCOS naturally.

He laughed in my face.

“There is no fixing this naturally. You can just go back on the pill.”

I was upset, confused, and discouraged. But I knew I couldn’t be the only one who wanted to take control of my health, so I set off to start researching. Eventually, I recognized the link between my diet and my symptoms and enrolled to become a Nutritional Therapist, training to use food as medicine.
